What is The Green Finger Project?
The Green Finger Project is a mission run by Rabett's to revive and restore the depleted UK landscapes. A purpose we cannot achieve on our own. Which is why we continuously emphasise the significance of education. The more people educated on the effects of human activity on the environment, the easier it will be to 'tackle' the climate crisis. Although, it's a never ending battle we are only ever going to be fighting if we continue contributing to these human inflicted factors. However, at Rabett's, we are more concerned about the future of the countless species that continue to struggle and decline by the day. From mosses, to soil, flowers, to bees, to trees... however big, or however small, every single organism that creates these biological webs of life that we call an ecosystem, are vital to the environment's survival. Us humans tend to forget that we are inevitably part of it too! And yet, all we seem to do is destroy to benefit our needs. So, to conclude, Rabett's aim is to spread awareness and educate. In hopes for a renewed outlook on partnership gardening with nature. Whether you only have a small strip of lawn, or a large area, nature has a space with us. It is crucial we protect the ever decreasing greenspaces we have left in the evolving world of increasing urbanisation. So please, invite nature to your doorstep. It's as easy as sprinkling some wildflower seeds into a pot on your patio! Lets work together to rebuild our relationship with the planet and give nature a voice.
