Each year, Kerry gathers over 100 acorns to plant in the autumn for them to grow on and emerge in the spring as oak tree seedlings. The species gathered are predominantly English (Pedunculate) Oak as they are one of the most beneficial trees to wildlife, supporting over 2,300 species. And are, of course, native to the UK. Kerry is doing this in preparation for these 200 (and counting) trees to be planted on land to boost biodiversity. However, space is slowly running out for these precious specimens, and they are in need of land to be planted on. Kerry needs your help to fund the land for these forests to be planted on.
